Spring ..Already?

I know, I'm not living in the present..however, since Spring is my favorite time of the year I always have to remind myself on the day of Winter Solstice that Spring is just around the corner. Just under 3 months to go and those green blades of grass and daffodils will start to appear around my beautiful fountains.

Merry Christmas

My wish for you this Christmas is that you find everything you want under the tree..and that you find these precious gifts as well:
The gift of optimism, the gift of enthusiasm, the gift of laughter, the gift of forgiveness, the gift of perspective, the gift of wonder, the gift of self-acceptance, the gift of self-love.

May your holiday season be filled with joy and hope, peace and love, sweet nostalgia and warm memories. If you already have some of the gifts that I've wished for you, just pass them along..they are wonderful for "re-gifting"
Merry Christmas from the Fountainlady.

Fountain of Good Will

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could go online and order a Fountain OF Goodwill for all our friends and loved ones for Christmas? Metophorically, we can all be fountains of goodwill, by simply becoming more optomistic and positive in our thinkings. I'll try it if you will.

What's the big deal?

Water has always been a fascination for us. Not only do we as a civilization need life giving water to survive, it provides us with beauty, solace, and inspiration.
Analogies of fountains have been made thoughout the ages by many great writers as a means of expressing the likeness of life itself to a flowing fountain.
Down though the ages Man has used water as a means of recreation, improving work methods, and maintaining personal grooming and hygiene. These things have become so "normal" we seldom stop to consider how important water is to us. Share with us some of the interesting and innovative ways Man has used this resource over the ages.
Rivers are roads which move, and which carry us whither we desire to go. ~Blaise Pascal

Tallest Fountain in the World

King Fahd's Fountain, also known as the Jeddah Fountain, is the tallest fountain water in the world. [1] Located in the coast of Jeddah, east coast of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The fountain jets water 260 metres (853 ft) above the Red Sea.[2]It was donated to the city of Jeddah by King Fahd, hence its name. The fountain is visible throughout the entire vicinity of Jeddah. The water it ejects can reach a speed of 375 kilometres (233 mi) per hour with a weight exceeding 18 tons. . It was constructed between 1980 and 1983 and began operating in 1985. The fountain uses saltwater taken from the Red Sea instead of freshwater. It uses over 500 spotlights to illuminate the fountain at night.

Moody Fountains

Fountains, expecially outdoor fountains are in my opinion, the icing on the cake of garden landscaping. The finishing touch that adds your personality and style to an already elegant setting. This week I may want something fun and whimsical, maybe a "pixie" type fountain, next week it could be a romantic fountain, it really depends on the mood. If the price is right you are able to change the mood frequently!
